Ekaterina Gorshkova

Ekaterina Gorshkova graduated from the University of Saint Petersburg with a degree in Applied Mathematics but shifted her focus to software engineering early in her career. Starting as a Junior Software Engineer, she specialized in the Java stack and data-intensive applications. She later pursued a PhD in Computer Science and moved to the Czech Republic.

Katya has extensive experience in the FinTech sector, serving as both a Software Engineer and a Solution Architect. About seven years ago, she developed a proof-of-concept project using Apache Kafka, sparking a deep passion for the technology. This led her to become a Kafka engineer, providing consultancy services for messaging systems architecture and developing applications for real-time data processing.
